Location of the house

Our house is located relatively high, so during your walks there ar many panoramic views to enyoy. Les Sept Frères is just outside the town of Bouzic situated between Domme and Gourdon. The river ‘Le Céou’, a fast-flowing tributary of the Dordogne, runs through Bouzic. In July and August Bouzic organises a regional market every Tuesday. Here one can buy regional products and prepare the products on one of the large BBQ's.

The nearest shops are to be found at the pretty medieval village Daglan or in Cenac, within a 10 minute drive. The major stores such as Carrefour and Lidl are to be found in Gourdon within a 15 minute drive.

Regional attractions

Unique features of the Dordogne are the ancient attractive towns in the valley. Domme, Sarlat and La Roque-Gageac are definitely worth visiting. More distant cities such as Bergerac, Rocamadour and Les Ezies are also beautiful. Everywhere you find the most charming terraces, hidden galleries and cozy little markets.
The Dordogne is called the country with the 1000 castles. During your stay it is definitely worth to visit some castles. A few of the castles in the immediate vicinity are the Château Castlenaud, Château des Milandes, Chateau de Beynac and Marqueyssac with its beautiful gardens.

In the Dordogne, you’ll find many caves close together. Caves with prehistoric art, well known stalactite caves like Grotte du Grand Roc in Les Eyzies and the Grottes de Domme and Gouffre de Padirac.

Activities nearby

There is not only much to see, but also much to do. Especially in high season you can swim in the Dordogne river. There are still many beaches that have remained hidden from tourists. During your stay you can rent a canoe and enyoy the ‘Vallée de la Dordogne’ from the water. There are plenty of canoe rental businesses along the river to find.

The region provides also lots of possibilities for golf lovers. Within 30 kilometer you’ll find up to three golf courses. Also you can go fishing, horse riding and fly in a hot air balloon.
